I’ve been wanting a built in spice rack for a while. Sadly, I’ve been stashing my spices in a small box on the bottom shelf of my rolling “island” until I could figure something out. When I was working on my magazine-rack project I worked out a plan to build my spice rack along the side of the upper cabinets. Perfect! They are out of direct sunlight, but still easy to get to.
As a bonus, I’ve also included free DIY, printable spice labels!

I started with a very messy and disorganized kitchen food pantry. This was a very small space! I was constantly purchasing food items that I didn’t know were already hiding in the back and underneath boxes and cans. I found 4 bottles of Molasses Syrup and I only used it once per year for Christmas cookie baking. Something had to give.
So, I used some simple organizing tips that I know you’ll love too. I couldn’t be happier with how pretty it is but I’m even more excited that I can find things. Now, when I go grocery shopping I don’t buy duplicate items. No more molasses.
